Sensory tour of our kitchen garden & farm grounds
Fresh rosemary, savory thyme, spring asparagus, mint…the fragrance, the taste…fresh from the garden is a something you can’t just read about. You have to experience it and see it in action. Our kitchen garden features 13 raised beds of annual and perennial varieties of flowers, herbs, vegetables, and fruits. We use companion gardening throughout to provide natural pest control, improved soil fertility and plant health.
Purpose and function is the keystone catalyst behind homesteading. A homestead requires a harmony of what you have and what you need. Everything has its purpose. Fish emulsion nourishes the pond which is used to water the garden. Bee hives encourage natural pollinators for bigger and better blooms. Solar power and well water blend renewable resources with essential services. All find their purpose in our ever-changing home landscape. Find inspiration for your own backyard garden and how a homestead balances function and beauty by scheduling a tour of the garden and farm grounds.
