Seasonal Planting & Harvesting in Our Kitchen Garden
Get your hands in the soil! Soil is life, they say. And here at the Leto’s Meadows homestead we work a kitchen garden. A kitchen garden is defined as “a small, accessible, and frequently tended garden located near the house, designed to provide a continuous harvest of fresh herbs, vegetables, fruits and edible flowers for daily cooking.” But what is it like to work a kitchen garden? Come see for yourself! There is a season for everything. Whether it’s time to put in seed potatoes, or garlic cloves, tomato seedlings, or sprouted seeds, you can get right in there with us to put some sweat equity into a bountiful harvest. Speaking of harvest, that’s the really fun part! When it’s time to go a-pickin’ the true fruit of your labors will be realized. Schedule your garden planting/harvesting slot during your visit for a unique homestead experience.
